
Assam chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, who is also the convener of North East Democratic Alliance (NEDA) has launched a frontal attack on the Congress and alleged that due to its divide and rule policy, the Northast had suffered imbalanced development, political instability and geographical isolation for 70 years. However, he said, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has focused extensively on connecting and uniting the region. In a long thread of 11 tweets, Sarma said the PM was not connecting the Northeast physically but also emotionally.
